Well that is highly subjective because the term dubstep encompasses many sub genres now and not everyone enjoys them all. Dubstep began in the UK's club scene rising from the experimenting musicians of garage and grime. It's not just a big hit in the UK though, it has grown into a big success in the USA. But it's big in both countries that doesn't signify that both countries share a simliar idea of what dubstep or "good dubstep" is. Dubstep can be made with the simplest software or the most challenging equipment which makes it an easy target for all skill levels of creating music. The genre is more often than not instrumental. It is not a new genre, but the newest sound has come to be the best enjoyed section of the style. This is the music of good thoughts. It's a form of edm which has it's roots in the UK grime/garage following. Dubstep isn't the first nor the single type of sound which which is constantly argued about.
